Amethyst Pyramid

Amethyst, a young girl in the service of the moon goddess Artemis, becomes a crystal after a series of twists and turns. The god of wine, Dionysus, poured wine into the crystal, causing its colour to turn sparkling purple.

Another story says that amethyst is a gemstone that prevents drunkenness, and that the mother goddess Rhea gave it to Dionysus to prevent hangovers.

Because of its noble colour, it symbolises love and passion, and because it prevents drunkenness, it also wakes people up from romantic drunkenness.

It is also often said to aid restful sleep when placed in the bedroom.
